It has been a busy couple of weeks. Took a trip to Buffalo for a family reunion and whatnot. Here are a couple of pics of recent activities. The first off is G’s beaded barrettes. She wants to sell these things in Etsy or something at some point. I think it’s a good start! Here is a pic or two:
Tonight I was going to make pizza dough for tomorrow night. I was all excited. I opened up The Bread Baker’s Apprentice to try Peter Reinhart’s recipe for it. Normally I use my own recipe but I wanted some new ideas. Apparently I’d moved over to a different bookmark in the book and measured out and started mixing the ingredients for focaccia. Oops. So I just gave up and am making focaccia. I might put pizza stuffs on it tomorrow night (overnight fermentation in the fridge), and I might just make some bread. Here’s a quick pic of what it looked like before I clumsily moved it to a pan. (Oh yeah, and I’d forgotten the parchment paper. D’oh!)
Couple random pictures from the trip to Buffalo, beginning with a pic of a full sized buffalo that my aunt has behind her house, as well as a horse. She as an artist based out of East Aurora, New York, and threw quite the fun family reunion.
It’s been a busy few days mixed with a ton of driving (8 hours each way to Buffalo plus a TON of driving around!), visiting with family and friends, and just being away from Boston. Coming home was nice, but I can’t wait to get out of town again.
