I’m not sure how this post with link on the pic but I found a great deal at the outlet stores in Watreloo, NY earlier this week when traveling back from a trip to Buffalo to visit family. They had a sale on Calphalon items, and since I didn’t own a Chef’s knife that wasn’t purchased at the Dollar Store (yes, the Dollar Store does have chef’s knives!), I figured it would be worth the $ to pick one up. This wasn’t an expensive one, but it was of okay quality, and was on sale for $9.99 off of the original $30. I also picked up a Calphalon 10″ sharpening steel for the same price of $9.99. So far I am very happy with both of these things.
Cooking at home has become much easier and more enjoyable with the addition of a few relatively inexpensive and good quality items, such as the cookware mentioned in the post below, new silverware and flatware that was gotten at Linens ‘N Things close out sales, and of course the wonderful used bread machine that was given to us. I rarely use the bread machine for anything but making dough, but it’s great if only just for that. And much less expensive than a real mixer (which is on my wish list, of course…)
